This review comes right on time as March is Craft Month. I’ll be honest, I actually canceled my subscription with Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up right before receiving this box, and this is one that I actually like ! If you don’t know, the easiest way to explain, Stampin’ Up is a stamp and card making company. Many experienced stampers can make better quality AND looking cards than what you buy from Hallmark! Don’t believe me? search Stampin’ up on Pinterest, that’s how I discovered the company when I was looking up a DIY project last Spring.
You get all the materials you need in one box to complete the project and it’s $20 with free shipping. Wondering why I canceled? Well, I don’t like not knowing what project I’ll receive AND if I don’t like a project, I have to find a place to store and this has been the case for the past 3-4 months. However, I found that it is best for me to wait until the boxes are released and to check various sites to pick it up that way. Anyways, on to the review:
February’s Paper Pumpkin set was Birthday candle cards. I received enough materials to make 9 cards and there’s enough space to include a gift card in there. Per usual I did’t use the step-by-step pictures, I followed the Youtube tutorial to make the cards. These are super cute and can be given to your co-workers or neighbors along with a gift card. I wouldn’t give these to my closest friends and family as is, but if I had other stamps and frills to dress them up, I would!
The entire project took me about 45 minutes to put them together while watching TV and texting. I really enjoy simple art’s and crafts / DIY and is kind of sad knowing that I canceled the membership after seeing these together considering the cost of all of Stamping’ Up materials if I was to truly dabble into card making is EXPENSIVE so $20 for their monthly box isn’t so bad…..I have some thinking to do !!
Do you enjoy art’s and crafts? If so, what do you enjoy creating? This post may contain affiliate links.
