August was filled with birthdays. I knew someone celebrating their birthday every few days including mine. How did I celebrate? My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to the Outer Banks to enjoy the beach. Going to the beach during the summer months is one of my favorite activities, and I haven’t been able to go since last summer, so this was a real treat! I especially loved that the resort we stayed at either had low occupancy, or we picked great times to enjoy the beach. I kid you not, at any given time, there were no more than 10 people within view on the beach. Check out my video below if you don’t believe me!
Is your birthday coming up? Then you will need to figure out a way to celebrate your birthday while social distancing.
If you’re unsure of how to celebrate your birthday, then below are some great ideas for you. These are great ideas you can enjoy while social distancing, so you do not need to worry about that.
Grab a picnic basket and head out with your friends! Sitting in enclosed places is not the ideal thing at this point. So, get in touch with nature and plan a picnic for your birthday!
You can easily sort out the distancing in this as you won’t need to sit close for the picnic. Spread your picnic sheet out and ask a couple of friends to join you for an intimate and fun gathering outdoors.
2. Take The Party To Your Friends
Want to do something completely different? How about you invite your friends to a party online. But here’s the catch- drop off some unique birthday-themed goodies to their homes so you all can celebrate together.
Having similar things to use and play around with will be cool! This way, no one will miss out on any fun thing and everyone will have a great time. This is great if you have a lot of friends and don’t want anyone to feel left out.
3. Go For A Scenic Drive
Do something different on your birthday this time and go for a scenic drive. This can be extremely soothing for anyone. Play some music, get some snacks for yourself, and see what a great time you have doing this.
You will enjoy yourself as you spend your time taking in great landscapes throughout the drive. You can even try to get a few friends on board with this plan and create the perfect birthday for yourself.
4. Rent An Air BnB House That Has All The Bells And Whistles
What’s better than having a birthday in a place other than your home? I am sure you are tired of your home during these times. The best thing to do is to rent an Air BnB where you can hold your birthday.
Keep in mind that you will not be able to invite too many people given the situational limitations. But that does not mean you cannot have fun. Gather your close friends and rent an Air BnB that has all the right features for you to celebrate your birthday! I recently discovered Swimply, you can even have a pool party! You can rent a pool for as little as 2 hours or an entire day!
5. Outdoor Movie With Friends
Another great idea is to host an outdoor movie party for you and your friends! You can easily do this in your backyard. All you have to do is make sure that the seating arrangement is in a way that follows the social distancing requirements and you’re good to go. Grab hold of a projector, great snacks, and an epic movie, and you’re all set for your movie night!
Just because you can’t host a large gathering doesn’t mean your birthday has to be boring! Make use of these fun ideas and see what a great time you have with your family and friends.
