Being a #bossbase is all the rage now and for good reason! Who wouldn’t want to work for themselves and not have to answer to anyone?! When you know you’re meant to be an entrepreneur, starting a blog in your spare time is a good idea. It’s also the first step that many of us will take towards our dreams. Yet, at first, you won’t always be able to do it full-time. So you stay in your current career, earning money during the day, and then you work on your blog business at night. Admittedly, it can be hard to manage both – but it’s not impossible. However, it is good to know how you can make life easier, and each job as efficient as possible. So let’s consider a few things that could help you here.
First of all, you’re going to want to make sure that you have a passion for your blog. Because if you do not love it, then you’re not going to even want to spend your spare time working on it. Make sure that you like what you do and that you see the impact that you’re having. Because then, working on it and managing it is going to seem effortless.
Focus On Productivity
Now, passion is important – but it won’t always take you to the next level. If you’re not focusing, then you’re going to struggle. It’s important to make sure that you’re focusing on productivity as much as you can. We’ve all been there, trying to work while watching tv and listening to a Podcast. Nothing will get accomplished. Maybe you need to remove distractions when you’re blogging, or you need to do something like Speedtest for efficiency. Because the second you really hone in on what you’re doing and making the most of your time, you’ll be able to add value in each area more efficiently.
Follow A Schedule
From here, you’re going to find that having a set schedule to work with is going to allow you to be your most productive self. Here, you’re going to want to think about the tasks you need to get done each week for your blog, and then split them up into days and times. Because the easier you can make this on yourself, the more streamlined and balance your lifestyle is going to be. It seems easy now, but trust me, following a schedule, will keep you from burning out! This by far has been the best to keep me from being overwhelmed by blogging since I have two blogs!
Have A Plan
But then finally, it’s definitely good for you to know where you’re going here. If you want to be able to stay motivated to work on your blog in the evenings, then it’s a good idea for you to know what your short-term goals are. This is where the idea of setting goals comes in too. If you have this realistic goal that you’re working towards, then you’re going to find that you’re so inspired to keep working on it and reaching for it. So, ask yourself, what will your goals be?
