How to find Bath and Body Works Expiration Date

I used to live for Bath and Body Works semi-annual sales. I still go in every now and then when I receive free item coupons, but not as much anymore. Admittedly, I have not purchased anything since their 2016 Summer semi annual sale, I have that many products of theirs (still unopened) ! Trust me, I have absolutely nothing against BBW, but I am slowly, but surely, trying to switch as many of my body care products to most organic with the exception of deodorant.

So, how to find bath and body works expiation date? It’s actually quite simple and is listed on the bottom of your lotion or body spray right now. Bath & Body Works print their manufacturing dates in code, but don’t worry, view the pictures below and I’ll explain better.

According to BBW response to an old Facebook post, unopened body care products have a two-year shelf life after the manufacture date. Take a look below:

  • First #: Year (ex: 5 = 2015)
  • Next three #’s: Day (ex: 254 = 254th day of the year)

So this lotion is good for two years after Sep 11, 2015 so it’ll be expiring soon.

Now, you know the method for deciphering the approximate expiration date of BBW products the next time you go shopping !

Wow! I never knew this about BBW! Thanks for this tip! I too have so much of their products to the point that I’ve given most of the unopened products away as gifts. I only go to BBW for their candles now, but even those can be a rip off if it’s not the Semi Annual Sale. Do you like their candles?

Trust me, I didn’t either until one day I noticed one of the lotions started changing colors ! I would buy so much during the semi-annual sales, I would have stock for years before getting to it.

Hmmm that may be the barcode on your bottle… it should be a shorter code as I have pictured above.
