How Ethical Are The Beauty Brands In YOUR Makeup 💄 Bag?

Animal testing in the beauty industry has been a tug-of-war for some time. Despite popular objections, many  brands continue to test on animals. According to  Peta, more than 100 million animals (including cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶 ) are killed in U.S. labs each year. 👎🏽Furthermore, brands that want to expand into the Chinese market are required to test on animals.

Many of us are carrying animal tested cosmetics in our bags and I am hoping with the information that I am sharing that maybe some of you will change that. I was really shocked to learn brands that I buy are testing on bunnies 🐰 . Small progress is better than no progress so start with some of your cosmetics, one product at a time !

Do your research when buying and understand, they use a lot of word play !  A makeup brand may advertise as not testing on animals, but is owned by a larger company that does.

This is so good! It’s shocking to see the truth behind some of these “reputable” brands! We recently compiled a list of our ethical favorites at Redemption Market. (You can find it under the “journal” tab on our site). Keep up the good work!
